Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! 01

Eyepatch moe

I don’t know if it’s a side-effect of being an anime fan or playing too much Japanese video games, but if I were the MC of an anime and met an eccentric girl (in a cute way) that thought she was the envoy of the dark abyss and yelled out her “attacks”, I’d join in on her crazy antics despite everyone thinking I’m a lunatic.

Maybe in real life too, but then again I *am* insane. 😛 Haha, funny anime, Kyoto Animation.

My dreamgirl climbed down my balcony, from the top floor

So that’s what Chuunibyou is… fantasy roleplaying 24/7.

I swear, I may have had something like this during 6th grade. Elementary School 5th Year Syndrome? Hmph!

(“Yami no honoo ni idakarete kiero”? I swear that’s what Leon says in Tales of Destiny after doing one of his Blast Calibers. Hm, Mr. Dramatic Lines looks even more dramatic coming from a middle school kid trying to be an antisocial anime character!)

tch. biiiiitches. =P

Haters gonna hate.

Best confession ever

Looks like Kyoto Animation’s trying to master the art of eyepatch moe.

They’re doing a good job of it.

This is never going to work

Oh shit, it did

Rikka inputted the Konami Code. Onto a vending machine. And she got a free extra soda.

I really hope that model sword is child proof.

How could you say “no” to this?

This was a great first episode – I like the chemistry between the characters and the animation is as stunning as ever from Kyoto Animation. Most importantly, the humor is right up my alley. It helps that I kept my expectations of this as low as possible and ended up appreciating it.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! seems like it’ll be a good companion to Little Busters! this season, where the laughs will balance out the feels of the latter. That’s what I’m going to use this anime for, at least. Very enjoyable, and I’m confident that Kyoto Animation will keep it up.
