Ooooh boy! Our group of rebels are slashing through the Shogun’s forces like a Dynasty Warriors game. Nothing these guards have are going to stop Gintoki and the gang from taking Lord Sada Sada’s lower top knot for being the Delta Bravo that he is. That and the killing of Bakufu officials because that’s a no-no.
I didn’t know umbrellas did that!?
THEY CAN DO THAT TOO!?
Upon reaching the old raccoon, our rebels receive a bit of disturbing news. Ol’ Maizo has been made to pay for his “treason†by getting his other arm sliced off and now they’re surrounded by a new set of goons.  These aren’t your normal set of goons though. These guys are MI 6 of the Shogun’s troops and they handle the dirty work that no one ever hears about. Kagura and Shinpachi decide to take Maizo back to get him treated while Gintoki, Tsukuyo and Nobume handle business with Lord Sada Sada and his new set of goons.  Their leader is known to Nobume though (keep that in mind for the rest of the arc) and to Gintoki. This particular leader, Oboro, was the one that carried out the Kansei Purges and killed Gintoki’s teacher/father figure which gave him the reason to fight as the Shiro Yasha. Yup this episode finally reveals the hidden truths of Gintoki’s past and his motivation in leading some of the last revolts against the Bakufu. Pretty serious shit is going down because while all this is revealed, Gintoki is getting handled by this Oboro guy while Nobume and Tsukuyo have their hands full.
Now he’s pissed.
HE DONE BROKE YOUR SWORD WITH HIS TEETH, NOW WHAT YA GONNA DO?!
Meanwhile Kagura and Shinpachi are getting swarmed by the imperial guards and things start to look bleak. All of a sudden, BOOM. The Shinsengumi show up to save Kagura, Shinpachi and the Mimawarigumi, with Iseburo, showing up to help Tsukuyo, Nobume and Gintoki simultaneously.
Will Gintoki be able to pull himself together and avenge his sensei? Find out on the next episode of Gintama!
