Because I’ve been immersing myself in VN humor, I found myself appreciating the humor in this episode more than I normally would.
Look out, Akibaranger, the Shoutengers are here to steal your gig!
I’ve heard many interesting and “stylized” translations of 「屑」 kuzu before as an insult. Rubbish, shithead, puke face, the infamous “dreck” from Tales of the Abyss…
But “jackass” is certainly a new one. xD
TRANSLATION: AWESOME ANIME
I’m REALLY enjoying this anime as of now. The comedy scenes are genuinely funny, so far there hasn’t been an episode that missed out on some sort of development, and overall it’s looking up to be further proof that the slice-of-life genre in anime doesn’t have to delve into supernatural elements or become pure yonkoma gags to be an engaging watch – just pure and dramatic realistic fiction, for the win.
(in Spanish) “Yes, your eyes and hair match! So cute! My lovely princess!”
P. A. Works demonstrates the proper way to reply to a Spanish foreigner in Japan:
“I CANTOO UNDERSTANDO! I AM NO MONEY! SANKYUUU!“
Talk to him in BROKEN ENGLISH. xD;;
My reaction was PURE “WHAT THE FAWK JUST HAPPENED?!”
Let me start by saying that this anime has VERY beautiful animation, as expected from P.A. Works. And the soundtrack, so far, is very fitting in terms of the mood and setting of the show.
This opening episode certainly gives me high expectations for this series as a dramatic slice-of-life in the same fashion that Hanasaku Iroha did in its first episode.
